The Dream of getting married on horseback becomes a reality at our retreat. The only location in Hawaii to be married on twin leapard appaloosa horses. Enjoy sprawling ocean views & breezes with the rest of the herd casually grazing as your backdrop.

Guesthouse/Campsite Stays
From a deluxe, private cottage to a 4-bedroom guesthouse to campsites, our goal is to make an overnight horse experience affordable to everyone. That includes your horse! If you are trailering over, please let us know.

We provide a fun, safe and well-rounded experience where kids can immerse themselves in horsemanship, in a non-competitive environment.

We specialize in private horse lessons, believing the individual journey of each student results in life-enduring skills. Our owner is certified with the Certified Horsemanship Association and the American Riding Instructors Association.
Our Student Teachers and Volunteers receive the best guidance and training and Beyond the Gaits is insured with Equisure.
Horses are mirrors to the inner state of humans. If we are feeling sad, stressed or angry horses offer total acceptance free from judgement, thereby offering a safe space for healing and personal growth to occur.
At Beyond the Gaits, our horses help students learn connected horsemanship and riding while, simultaneously, expanding personal self-regulation and awareness for all living things.
The Aussies
Our Australian Shepherds are the cornerstone of daily life at the riding school. Always found among students and horses, or flanking the sides of our trail rides, these dogs have become gifts to anyone looking for a furever partner.
Puppies are from $850 and include the first vaccine and first deworming. They are bred with you in mind and raised with here with Aloha.

Horse Training & Boarding
Fair and solid horse training can set your horse up for a lifetime of success. We believe that is the single most responsible action you can take as a horse owner.
Perhaps you have a young horse or maybe you just need help with behavioral issues. Whatever the issue is, we are here to help set you up for success and, moreover, ensure a productive & safe life for your horse. A calm, balanced-thinking & respectful horse keeps that horse safe from human frustrations, abuse or abandonment.
